Above average IQ and wealth are unrelated, according to a recent study. The study made by Jay Zagorsky at Ohio State University's Center for Human Resource Research found that people of below average intelligence were, overall, just about as wealthy as those in similar circumstances but with higher scores on an IQ test. People with higher IQ tend to have higher incomes though (this confirms a number of previous studies). The discrepancy between wealth and income is unclear but the research suggests that high-IQ people do not save as much as others.
This answers the old question "If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?". 'Cause I spent it all on women and booze!
