… unless you're a planner (with some knowledge to spare).
The art of getting a free lunch goes something like this:
"Leon, I need your thoughts on [x]. Do you have time to discuss it today?"
"Sorry, my calendar is FULL. But maybe we can have a lunch meeting (on you)?"
"Perfect"
"Indeed"
A free lunch is not free until a number of months (how many varies) after, when you have actually SEEN that the free lunch did not result in a request for a return favor. Many lunches have STARTED as free lunches... You are off to a good start though :)

But the point is that the favor is returned at the lunch meeting. And I believe I'm in the long-run of not returning favors post-lunch.

I value my lunch time too much to waste it on meetings. But I do like a free lunch. So this is how I do it:
- Do you have time to discuss this over lunch?
- No sorry, I'm going for run.
Then I go for a run and have a bowl of yoghurt and müsli on the company...
Glamour - I love it!

Does eating left over client sarnies count as a free lunch?
